Mrs. Johnson Had a Change of Heart
After hearing Tilly’s explanation for her actions, Mrs. Johnsons’s heart softened a bit. She understood the financial difficulties of living on a farm and even though her actions were rash, she seemed to really feel guilty about them. Mrs. Johnson made a decision to spare the young girl any punishment, as long as she had learned her lesson.
