Mega Million Jackpot Climbs To $735 Million Ahead Of Tuesday Drawing

The Mega Millions jackpot has risen to an estimated $735 million after there were no winners in Friday’s grand prize drawing.

No tickets in Friday’s drawing matched all six numbers: white balls 19, 20, 22, 47 and 58, plus the gold Mega Ball 1. The optional $1 add-on Megaplier was 3x.

At lower levels, there were 1,171,297 winning tickets in the March 8 drawing. Two tickets, sold in Georgia and Texas, matched the five white balls to win the $1 million second-tier prize. A total of 22 tickets matched four white balls plus the Mega Ball to win the third-tier prize. Two of those are worth $30,000 each because they included the Megaplier, while the other 20 tickets won the standard $10,000 each.

The jackpot was last won on Dec. 8, and through the 26 drawings in this jackpot cycle, there have been more than 18.5 million winning tickets at all non-jackpot prize levels, ranging from $2 to $4 million.

If the current jackpot is won in Tuesday night’s drawing, it would be the sixth largest Mega Millions jackpot in the game’s nearly 22-year history of the game. Mega Millions has awarded five jackpots over $1 billion.

The current $735 million jackpot has an estimated cash value of $356.7 million, according to Mega Millions.

The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 302.5 million, but the odds of winning any prize are 1 in 24. Tuesday’s drawing will be conducted at 11 p.m. EST in Atlanta, Ga.
